NACE CIP Level 1 Course & Certifications

This June (15th - 20th) I have to attend one technical course held in Prince hotel..this course entitled NACE International coating inspector certification..one of the main course for those who inspired to go for International Accredited "Corrosion technologist" certification with NACE (National Association of Corrosion Engineer)..kita ni cuba2 lah nasib moga2 dapatlah increase knowledge and expand the network...Link to NACE..

I have to tell that this course was one of the most intense course and no joke, you did not get to go out enjoy or go shopping although Pavillion and Bukit Bintang are situated just back of the hotel where you're staying.. we were assessed on 3 areas: 1) Written exams with 250 MCQ questions, 2) Practical exam where you need to complete all 8 sections of inspection task for 8 minutes each and 3) Logbook - day out at a fab yard doing surface preparation, blasting, painting and inspection all the way through.....huuuuu...and worst of all you need to get 70% at least for EACH (not combined) 3 assessment to pass and get the license tag/card from NACE...uwaaaaa....rasa nak nangis pun ader...

The only thing that you do every evening right after the course (we finish at around 6pm btw) was to have dinner (room services, or at the restaurant at the lobby/at the hotels), then go straight back to respective rooms to study (uwaaaa) ..to course notes and struggle hard to memorize for the exam on the last day...hmmmmmmm, sigh....terbayang2 dlm mata coach bag on clearance 30% kat Pavillion tu....but what can I do, my hands are tight!!

Since I was not very well, batuk2 dan selsema, am the one who always fall asleep in the class due to the medication effect..ngantuk giler beb dgr omputeh dari Australia tu dok ngok ngek for hours..I was caught red-handed doozing off..zzzzzz (mataku sudah tertutup pun) dalam kelas..but thanks Jack & Rob and other friends, I did learnt a lot....despite kadang2 tertidur!!

On my last day after the exam ended, Rob announced that everybody passed the logbook and practical session but we still need to wait for the results from the written exam....what a relief!!but there is another one more to go..the written exam result!!

Rob was kind enough to give me the kind remark on our last lunch.."despite you are under medication and unwell, you did very well for the 2 assessment"..hahahahha, "I wonder how will you do if you are otherwise/well"..hmmmm, I felt that was a really good compliment!! Just what I've needed after the whole 6 days of misery..felt like your back to university days studying hard for the degree/SPM masa Form 5 dulu..exams...God give me a million but I don't want to go back to that time...tensen beb!!

So, after the end of the day, everyone bid farewell and headed home...and the countdown starts for the final results of the written exams...

After 7 days, a friend of mine announced that the results is out!! My hands started to tremble and tekak rasa kering ajer...as I slowly clicked the website and access the student scores online...

slowly key-in the password and details of my exam code, the moment of truth finally reveal.....

jeng...jeng...jeng...

Yeah, Alhamdulillah I passed!! My average scores was abt 90, so it was kinda good for org yang tak lah giler2 study!! Lega betul rasanya!! Bersyukur pada Tuhan..semoga all the experience and knowledge that I gained can be use for good deeds and shared among my friends!!

Retail therapy...Shopping - Shopping

One of the main activities kalau balik kampung is bershopping..hehehe, kalaulah banyak duit memang aku borong sakan lah..tapi time ekonomi merudum ni, kena hati2 lah kalau nak memberli belah tu..tapi baju anak2 mesti punya...Pulak tu masa duduk kat Prince for a course Coach boutique kat Pavillion buat clearance pulak tu up to 30%..tergoda imanku..tapi takpe masih waras..beg kat dalam almari tu pun tak terpakai...

This time, we had to tunaikan janji with my daughter, dah lama nak belikan kasut boots utk dia dari awal tahun lagi dia mintak coz nampak kwn kat sekolah pakai...so the 1st day kat Klang, all of us together with the Mak Long pi merayap ker MidValley/Gardens...1st thing, kena cari kasut boots dia, tapi bila masuk Jusco, takder jumpa saiz pulak although dah jumpa yg berkenan...sempat tangkap satu sandal utk dia coz sandal dia yg lama dah tercabut...tapi time ni member dah start merajuk..tak jumpa benda yg di idamkan..mula buat muka muncung..

Finally after penat berjalan, jumpa lah kat 'Bata' one very nice boots siap ader zipper..my daughter ni cerewet gaklah (like mommy like daughter), kalau nak beli something, there is a clear specification outlined by her, has to have zippers, mesti ader element pink etc..etc..

At last I found it!!

So, kakak beli kasut adik pun kenalah belikan sekali..kalau tak jeles nanti..so, adik pun sama lah gak mencari kasut and men 'ery'..

dah jumpa yang berkenan, tak dak size pulak...hmmmm, penat dah makcik terbongkok2 mencuba kasut kat kaki diorang ni..

Muka2 puas dapat kasut baru..maknya pulak nak gak beli..Jaki betul!

Lepas jer Zohor and makan, suma orang kat rumah mama dah start ngorok (tidur)..yang budak2 dua orang ni kalau kena nap siang mmg susah benarlah nak tidur..padahal kalau bagi mak dan bapanya pantang jer lah jumpa bantal..sekejap jer dah hilang...kalau my daughter si jaja tu mmg determined sampai mata bengkak langgar tiang pun takpe..tapi nak tidur memanglah dia tak nak..so, since takder buat apa2 kita pun suggest kat hubby pi SACC mall..yang peliknya hubby kata ok pulak..miracles sungguh, selalunyer hubby kita ni kalau bab nak pi shopping malas jer iyelah menghabiskan duit dia..hahaha, tapi kalau balik cuti boleh jer pi mana sbb dia pun gatal nak pi shopping..

sampai jer, depan entrance SACC tu ader org jual tudung, sempat lak tangkap satu sbb rega murah dari boutique tudung Al-Zahra kat Midvalley hari tu..pastu hubby almost tertangkap satu kasut kulit kat Primavera tapi nasib tak der saiz lak...

then masuk boutique Bonia ada sale lak..dia beli shirt, kita pulak hampir2 ter beli satu leather handbag..tapi imanku masih kuat..nasib baik tak beli....

Gi British India, ader sale lagi up to 70%..hehe takleh jadik ni, hubby dah mmg laju meraound satu store carik baju dan seluar dia..kita tgk2 last2 terambil satu kat best buy item..seluar pergi office type...Next pi Big Brown Bag, ader sale jugak..ader satu shirt stripe ni lawa pulak so beli lah satu..tu kau, tak plan beli mmg end up beli...

lastly, pi KK Home Deco Mart kat tingkat atas...hiush, barang2 English style dia mmg menggoda imanku supaya memborong..tapi oleh kerana pikir nak mengangkut ker miri tu, leceh betul..so niat ku batalkan saja...sempat beli satu jer tempat kunci utk kenangan...

tak lama budak2 tu dah start mengamok sbb mengantuk, so we head back homelah..tapi sempat hubby singgah Seksyen 19 kat kommuter station beli goreng pisang 10sen & laksa kedah..mmg sedap weh..pakwe kita mmg mengidam benda2 ni..keje asyik makan jer

Sorrylah takder shots sbb kita tak der niat nak membeli belah pun..tapi apa kan daya!!

IKEA - here we come..this is one of tempat berwajib yg harus di kunjungi bila balik cuti..tak beli banyak pun mesti tersangkut beli sikit..tah kenapa tah tangan ni gatal jer and hubby pun tak ckp apa2..habis gaklah dlm RM 400++..hish...I have got to stop this..

Sis (kak Long) bunk-in with me dkt Prince hotel...so apa lagi lepas exam, petang tu terus amik cab pergi Jln TAR..ni pun tempat berwajib yang harus pergi...pulak tu kita dgn sis jer, dua2 kalau pasal shopping mmg jalan...sempat tangkap telekung for my dearest daughter..hari tu dia kata nak belajar solat..then first time pergi Jakel kat KL..wah mmg cantek kain dia sama cam kat KK...mula2 ingat nak beli satu..terbeli lak 3 pasang dan siap meracun sis beli sepasang utk dia...hahahhaha

then, sempat beli something2 for my twinkles..friendship band with lettering of their names...jadi budak2 betul aku ni..

sorry, ni pun gambar2 takder sbb sis dah masuk dlm blog dia...

Salam Pengantin Baru Fauzi & Suria -Malaysia Version

Folks, this is the first time in history that we as a family attend wedding for both bride and the groom side...apa nak buat dua2 dapat kad and coincidently we all tgh bercuti..so beramai2 pi pekena nasi minyak..my son Haikal mmg suka nasi minyak, nasi beriani, nasi kosong dan seangkatan dgnnya, pendek kata 'anak nasi'..hehehe typical Malay man...

This time since kitorang bergebang kat Klang, so 2 keta konvoi ke Tmn Sri Andalas where the acara menyambut menantu diadakan...

By the time we arrived, kompang dah dipalu and pengantin has already berarak..so terus ker depan to see the arrival of pengantin..my dearest mom pulak tu jadi guest of honor utk menepung tawar pengantin..almaklumlah among pangkat org tua lah kiranya side my mom ni...I must give compliment and feet inspired on the way the host run the event..siap dgn kertas kerja and clear written R&R..pendek kata cam Shell Standard beb, ala2 IPOP gitu (implementing project on paper)..hehehhe and they have got a good Emcee that handles the event in a fashionly organized way..thumbs up!

End of May was a big day for one of my nephew, the first son to my cousin K Oya..teringat zmn2 kecik dulu she used to bring me and my younger brother to her house kawankan anak2 nya Uji and Dina waktu cuti sekolah..ni dah besar panjang semua and this was the first wedding in her family..dapat pulak menantu orang Brunei..so, such an inaugral ceremony...the event lasted for 3 days, but we only managed to come for the bersanding on Sunday and quick show up the day before just to meet the family...

it was nice to see them here and felt like dreams meeting them here..sayang tak sempat nak buat makan2 to welcome them at our hse coz their timing/schedule was too tight!!



This was the day before the big bersanding event..we just bunk-in sekejap at their rented apartment...nice and cosy..

Sempat pose kat pelamin dia malam berbedak tu..but we have to rush back to Miri nak kejar border tutup pukul 10pm..time taken to travel from Bandar BSB to border post is about 2 hours, so we missed the fun lah nampaknya..

The next day was the bersanding and we arrived there just on time..since dah survey rumah, it was easy to find our way there...kat Brunei kalau kenduri kahwin, tetamu dimestikan berpakaian formal as in baju melayu lengkap bersampin for man dan baju kurung for ladies..so, my pakwe mmg berpeluh sakanlah..maklumlah setahun sekali jer selalunya pakai baju melayu pulak tu tengah hari panas beb..nasib baik semua guest di beri sapu tangan dan kipas tangan sebagai cenderahati..cam tahu2 jer tuan rumah..

Sempat posing kat rumah sebelum bertolak ker Brunei..takut make-up cair pulak nanti..

Sampai2 jer pengantin together with the parents kena pi salam semua tetamu..so, sian si uji and Abg Fardi together with his wife Kak Oya, kena pusing keliling salam all the guest...agaknya lenguh mulut dok senyum and kata ' terima kasih'...hahaha

Layar Lara 2 - Bergebang di Kg Kuantan, Rumah Ibunda

Setelah bertahun2 merantau di bumi minyak hitam Burung Kenyalang, June memang masa yang ditunggu..waktu balik kampung!!Barulah dapat kembali ker tempat membesar yg banyak menyimpan kenangan..tak lain di Kg Kuantan..although sejak dari Form1 dah merantau tinggal di asrama, rumah bonda tetap dekat di hati..kat sinilah mcm suka duka membesar dgn adik, abang, kakak tercinta...

Frankly speaking, memang tak familiar sgt on what's happening here sbb kita sejak dari umur 13 tahun dah dok asrama belajar berdikari, kalau duduk pun paling lama a few months...tu pun lepas habis belajar...kalau mama dok sebut si anu..cik kiah ka, cik gayah so and so kita mesti nganga sebab tak kenal...pendek kata kalau bertanding calon wakil rakyat, memang takdok orang nak undi sbb orang tak kenal kita...takpelah, low profile..hahahah

everytime balik cuti mesti kena plan elok2 ngan hubby, takut org tua masing2 merajuk..so timing tu kena bahagi elok2..cuti this time mmg cantek coz two weeks so bahagi 2 lah..nasib baik kawin dapat satu negeri and our parents houses are quite near, so zas jer lah..and nasib FIL bagi pinjam keta WAJA dia..kalau tak patah kaki beb..tu pun cucu2 dia punya pasal..

Family mmg yg paling di rindui and this time ader new very special addition to the family...my twinkles has got a new cousin "Adam Shafi" and he is sooo cute!!

Buat perangai jugak baby ni so terflash back pulak balik time my kids kecil2 dulu..macam2 experiment dah cuba nak menidurkan baby....dari sapu minyak, lagu2 dondang sayang and everything else that you can think of just to make that precious little one sleeps..sometimes you can't help to wonder, how can a creature so small and fragile like this can create havoc to the whole hse and control all adults...that is the power of BABY!!

so my dear brother and SIL, try your best haa!! Dun give up it is part of joy and misery becoming a parent..tak cukup tidur/rehat is one of them....hehehe

Layar Lara 1: Bergebang Di Sg Buloh

The first week of our holiday, our post were in Sg Buloh (in-laws).....Other than lepaking, eating delicious home-cooked ayam kampung percik made by MIL and other stuffs, we tried to make an effort to be together with in-laws activities...the best thing for my twinkles is that they got to play and spend some time with the one and only (so far) cousin Ms Hanees yg cute! but my boy always kena tinggal coz when the two girls met, selalunya gender preference will kicks in and biasalah girls will always be girls..they like to clicked with each other and form their own wall..hehehe

whenever cuti sekolah, the most popular event here coz my in laws dah tak kerja dah, would be "kenduri kahwin"...and for ppl like us who has been residing in Miri and jarang2 sekali merasa nasi minyak yg kaw kat kenduri, would be glad to attend such event..apa taknya, makan free beb and masakan kat semenanjung mmg sedap2..di tambah dgn side serving seperti cendol (cendol pulut/tapai), kuih muih, bubur kacang/bubur pulut sometimes..emmmm, memang menjilat jari!!

Ni lah pengantin nyer..

Not to say kat Miri tak pernah attend kenduri, tapi mmg 'kureng' skt lah dari segi makan and the way acara berjalan sbb makan bertatang...takdok meja..(mungkin sbb cost kat Miri ni mahal beb)....maklum sajalah tekak dan perut dah biasa style semenanjung..kamek mintak maaf tek!!

So, pengantin for this event daughter to my FIL masjid's friend...meriah tu and makan dia pun sedap..yg tak tahan ader cendol pulut tu, so akak pulun gaklah walaupun sakit tekak takde suara..mana boleh tahan beb...my pakwe a.k.a hubby mmg tak pandang kiri kanan dah, apa2 dia dah siap sinsing lengan....

Segala macam dalam satu pinggan..tu kuih cara susu (betul ker nama dia?)..

The 2nd event was another walimatul urus in UKM (Azreena & Anas). This time was my collegue in SSB, a graduate who work in metering team...we went to the groom side since the bride side was held a week before when we were not in KL, and grand you the event..it was an air-conditioned hall and the foods were served from small kiosk beratapkan nipah..again there were cendol and other nice stuff e.g. ayam goreng berempah, nasi beriani, papadom etc..the typical Malay delicacies yang nyaman sgt...as we're already full, we only ate just a couple of light things and of course the nice cendol with tapai...so refreshing...well I guess it's now a trend to have side dishes and seemed like cendol is one of the favourites!
Above, the bride was really pretty, I almost did not recognize her cause she wore contact lenses and her make up was so natural..she did not wear any make up to work, so seeing her all dressed-up in lace was unbelievable...

Once again -congrats to all the bride and groom, Moga Bahagia ker Anak Cucu!!

Barulah dapat chance nak update on this...basically there is nothing unusual that we did there except makan, ambil gambar, lepak, tgk tv and chatting...seronok betul tgk gelagat budak2 enjoying the place and in-laws relaxing ..tapi FIL mmg warak orangnya..mana 2 pergi tak lekang dgn tikar sembahyang....respek rasanya because he is really taking care of his relationship with Allah the AlMighty..
